Friends Provident gets personal

Thu, 07 Apr 2005

Friends Provident will introduce a new range of individual pensions today.

Called The Personal Range, the service allows flexibility with respect to charges and commissions.

It is designed to fulfil the requirements of IFAs and their clients and also allows for the new stakeholder charging system to be incorporated.

Jeremy Ward, head of pensions marketing, said the new range is based on what IFAs say they would like to receive from their individual pensions as well as the corporate pensions and investment bonds issued by Friends Provident.

"We believe this new range of individual pensions presents a very attractive and competitive proposition for advisers and clients alike," he added.

The entire range consists of 50 funds including individual personal pensions, individual stakeholder pensions, pension for children and pension credit account and will be available through 17 fund managers.

Friends Provident, the FTSE 100 financial services group, will give its customers access to an e-commerce system which won the Five Star awards for Life and Pensions Service and e-commerce last year.
