Scottish Life is set to launch a new self-invested personal pension.
To be available in December, the new
pension package will offer access to more than 1,200 funds through the FundsDirect supermarket.
Additionally, customers of the pension will be able to take advantage of an execution-only share dealing service and will be able to access other investments, such as commercial property.
Barry Shields, head of individual business at Scottish Life, comments: "The ability to access a flexible range of investment options, either immediately or in the future, is becoming increasingly important for customers in the advised market."
He added that the pension's "self-investment functionality" has been developed to tailor to this growing market.
Furthermore, the spokesman claims that the pension product will have online and automated services for users, along with improved investment flexibility from its previous offerings.
Scottish Life, a division of the Royal London group, claims that its mutual status enables it to offer maximum benefits to its customers, while it also places a strong focus on service.
